Responsibilities:* Analyzes supplier’s capacity and capabilities to meet Metso Outotec quality requirements specified in specifications, drawings, contractual documents, and so on. * Conducts project kick-off meeting with supplier. Clarifies specifications and documents ensuring compliance to specifications and drawings. * Consults with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement for technical questions. * Supervises supplier manufacturing process. Identifies quality non-conformance. Communicates and clarifies acceptable rework instructions, and communicates to supplier. Follows up implement of corrective actions required and defined. * Participates in physical inspection activities in manufacturing processes at supplier to ensure compliance to Metso Outotec quality requirements. Communicates process inspection techniques to supplier. * Assists supplier with personnel & procedure qualifications, manufacturing procedure, quality package preparation, and so on. * Conducts review and sign-off of supplier personnel & procedure qualification, report, document and final quality package. * Maintains the use of quality modules in Jagger Direct at responsible suppliers to deal with Exceptional Approval, Request for Inspection, Goods Movement, Customer Complaint. * Conducts periodic supplier quality audit, supplier sustainability internal audit, supplier quality performance review and evaluation. * Manages supplier’s continuous improvement actions. Recommends changes in manufacturing processes and supplier systems to improve product quality. * Develops new supplier and/or new product for the demand from Competence Centers and/or Procurement. * Provides source inspection report, project status report whenever needed and required. * Performs other miscellaneous duties and/or other special projects as required. * Travel (both domestic and international) will be required as needed.Qualification and Skill:？ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Strong knowledge in fabrication & welding is a must. Basic FRP product knowledge and inspection skills will be plus.？ Minimum 5 years’ experience in fabrication & welding, preferably stainless steel working experience in heavy equipment manufacturing. ？ Basic knowledge in machining, heat treatment, NDE, material testing etc.？ Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), International Welding Engineer (IWE), Protective Coating Inspector (PCI), NDT (UT/MT/PT) qualifications are preferred and will be valuable to the position.？ Working knowledge in quality inspection and/or supplier quality management will be a plus.
